Auerbach Associates is pleased to announce that the University of Texas at Arlington has appointed Jean Hood to the position of Vice President for Human Resources, effective September 24th, 2007.

Hood brings to UT Arlington more than 20 years of human resources experience in higher education, which includes creating a university-wide classification system for non-union positions, designing and implementing a performance management program and revamping the hiring processes for staff and faculty, including implementing a new faculty orientation program.

Hood comes to the University of Texas at Arlington from Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island, where she served as Vice President of Human Resources. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Management from Lesley College, the Program on Negotiation for Senior Executives from Harvard Law School, as well as a program on Mediation of Legal Disputes, J.A.M.S., from Endispute Mediation Services in Boston.

Hood is a certified senior professional in human resources by the Human Resource Certification Institute. She is also a member of the Northeast Human Resource Association and the Society of Human Resource Management.
