We are pleased to announce that CalArts will appoint William Schaeffer, C.P.A., effective July 7^th, 2008. 

William Schaeffer joins CalArts from Lewis and Clark College, a premier private college in Portland, Oregon. There, he served first as Controller and now as Associate Vice President of Finance. He represents the College to the Board of College Liability Insurance Company and the Board of the Oregon Educational Employers Workers’ Compensation. Schaeffer previously held appointments as Director of Finance and Controller of Oregon Public Broadcasting; Chief Financial Officer of CrystaLake Multimedia, Inc.; Chief Financial Officer of the Metropolitan Family Service; and at Price Waterhouse and Ernst & Whinney.  

William Schaeffer received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Iowa, and is a member of the Oregon Board of Accountancy and the A.I.P.C.A.
